Meet the NCRP team
Communications Manager
Peter oversees NCRP’s website and social media presence. Prior to his current role as Senior Associate for Communications, Peter was a Philanthropy Fellow for NCRP’s Philamplify initiative, contributing to assessments of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Hess Foundation, The Kresge Foundation and Walton Family Foundation. He has eight years of experience as a journalist, including covering freedom-of-the-press issues as the journalism fellow at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, a non-profit that provides free legal assistance to journalists. He is also the former managing editor at newsletter company Hart Energy Publishing, where he oversaw seven newsletters about the motor fuels industry.
Peter was born in Princeton, NJ, and grew up in Frederick, Md. He holds a B.A. in Journalism and dual master’s degrees in Business Administration and Public Policy from the University of Maryland. As a graduate student, he studied abroad in Chile and completed consulting projects for nonprofits Year Up, Capital Partners for Education and EcoAgriculture Partners.
