Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer
Timi Gerson has two decades of experience building content, campaigns and coalitions for change. She oversees NCRP’s field, research and evaluation efforts.
Prior to NCRP, she served as the long-time Washington Director for American Jewish World Service, leading U.S. policy and advocacy efforts to support grassroots grantees fighting for human rights in the Global South. Timi also spent several years at Fenton Communications where she managed a Latin America practice area and advised domestic groups on strategic communications to shift the debate on the Iraq war, health care reform, common sense gun laws and attacks on civil rights and liberties.
Timi is an “Inside the Beltway” native who began her career organizing around economic justice as Field Director for Public Citizen’s Global Trade Watch. A fluent Spanish speaker, she has lived in South and Central America and holds a Women’s Studies B.A. from Earlham College.
