FUNDING FOR MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES

NCRP encourages foundations to increase funding for lower income communities, communities of color and other underserved groups

Our work on funding for marginalized communities includes:

  • Demonstrating the need for philanthropy to benefit underserved communities to maximize the impact of limited grant dollars.
  • Documenting the impact of groups working for social, racial and economic justice and the foundations that support them.

COMMUNITY-BASED LOCAL RESEARCH

Grassroots community organizations provide critical services and advocate and organize many underserved communities to amplify their voices on important issues that affect them. NCRP is committed to the long-term success of local and community-based nonprofit efforts, and attempts to record challenges and successes, their impact on our communities and the importance of effective philanthropic support.
